Azerbaijani Bank Technique to launch online banking in early 2014

Azerbaijan Bank Technique OJSC will launch online banking service starting in early 2014, the bank's chairman Ulvi Mansurov told Trend on Dec. 17.

"According to our research, this online banking service is the most functional in the country. Testing is being completed at the moment, and the product will go to the masses starting from the beginning of next year," Mansurov said.

Mansurov said that the bank plans to provide over 15-20 percent of non-cash transactions via the internet in the first half of 2014.

"We intend to develop retail through online banking," he noted.

Mansurov also said that from the point of view of a quantitative proportion, the number of retail customers today prevails at a ratio of 70 percent to 30 percent, whereas from the point of the volume of operations and profitability, the corporate segment is prevailing.
