The consumer price index (CPI) increased by 8.57 percent in Turkey in April 2015 compared to the same period of 2014, the Turkish Statistics Institute's report said May 4.
According to the report, inflation hit 1.63 percent in April compared to the previous month.
The CPI growth was observed in the sector of goods and services - 1.24 percent, in hotel and restaurant business - 1.27 percent in April 2015 compared to the previous month.
The CPI growth was observed in soft drinks - 1.63 percent, in the housing sector - 1.63 percent in April 2015 compared to April 2014.
