Azerbaijan is an important regional partner of the UK, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Alan Yarrow said on the eve of his visit to Baku.
"There are many ways in which we can help each other to expand trade, drive growth and improve bilateral relations," he said.
"I hope that my visit, and that of the business delegation, opens doors between the Azerbaijani and British business communities, leading to benefits long after the visit has concluded," Alderman Alan Yarrow added.
He said that there are many opportunities for British companies to work in Azerbaijan, providing advice and expertise in crucial infrastructure, privatization and refurbishment programs.
The Lord Mayor of City of London, Alderman Alan Yarrow is visiting Azerbaijan this week, the UK embassy said May 29.
He will bring with him a delegation of British business leaders keen to engage in the region and develop stronger economic ties.
Alderman Alan Yarrow is expected to take part in the London Stock Exchange financial markets Forum to be held in Baku jointly with Deloitte company.
