In the first half of 2015, Kazakhstan commissioned 16 new gas filling stations, five of which are in the Almaty region, the analytical service Ranking.kz said.
The total cost of the construction of new gas stations is more than 1.1 billion tenge (188.05 tenge = $1). For the same period last year, Kazakhstan commissioned 9 gas stations worth 565.2 million tenge.
In 2014, the number of gas stations in the country has grown to 4,425.
The largest network of gas stations to date is "KazMunaiGaz". Some 341 gas filling station operates on the market under this brand.
Helios confidently holds the second place. There are 270 filling stations of this network in 67 settlements of Kazakhstan.
SINOOIL wraps up the TOP-3. Retail network of the company includes 128 gs filling stations.
They are followed by "Gazpromneft" (59) and "Royal Petrol" (53).
Despite the May's rise in price of A-92 gasoline in Kazakhstan, its price is kept at a lower level than last year. In June, it stood at 107.2 tenge per liter, which is 7 percent less than in June last year. Diesel fuel got cheaper by almost 20 percent - up to 95.8 tenge per liter.
The total value of the gasoline sold in Kazakhstan through the gas filling station in 2014 was 488.3 billion tenge, diesel fuel - 181.6 billion tenge, liquefied propane and butane - 11.1 billion tenge.
