Turkey lost 8.6 billion dollars - minister

Next year will be successful for the Turkey's economy, Lutfi Elvan, Turkish Development Minister said on Nov. 20.
He noted that after coup attempt and the beginning of "Shield of Euphrates" operation, anti-Turkish propaganda began in the world, which led to a loss of 8.6 billion dollars.
He said it has pushed Turkey to start urgent reforms in the tourism sphere.
"In general, tourism sector's revenues decreased by 30 percent, but we hope that 2017 will be successful for the Turkish economy", the minister said.
