Azerbaijan receives export offers from 56 countries

Azexport.az state portal, which contains information about the products manufactured in Azerbaijan, received offers worth $308.4 million for the export of non-oil goods in January-August 2017, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of the country said in a message.

The orders were received from 56 countries.

The portal has received export offers worth $44.1 million in August of 2017 that is 38.4 percent less than in July of 2017 ($71.6 million).

Russia ranks first for the total volume of orders in the eights months of 2017. The country accounts for 19.2 percent of all offers. Turkey (7.1 percent), Ukraine (7.1 percent), the US (4.7 percent) and Saudi Arabia (4.3 percent) were in the top-5 for the volume of orders.

In August of 2017, the portal received offers from Brazil, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the first time.

Azexport.az state portal was created according to the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s Sept. 21, 2016 order “On creation of a unified database of goods produced in Azerbaijan.”

Mission of Azexport.az, managed by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, is to provide information on products of Azerbaijani origin and to create a beneficial platform for their sale in the foreign and domestic markets.
