Income of Kazakhstan’s biggest gas supplier increases

Kazakhstan’s National Operator for Gas Supply KazTransGas increased its production performance in 2017.

According to the audited financial statements provided by KazTransGas JSC, its consolidated income amounted to 662.4 billion tenge in 2017, which is 77.5 billion tenge more than in 2016.

The net profit of KazTransGas amounted to 74.8 billion tenge in the reporting period, which is higher than the planned amount by 23 billion tenge.

Gas transportation through main gas pipelines increased by 12.7 billion cubic meters compared to 2016.

Gas transportation over the past year amounted to 101 billion cubic meters. Export transportation of natural gas increased by 34 percent and amounted to 17.7 billion cubic meters. Internal gas transportation increased by 1 billion cubic meters and amounted to 17.4 billion cubic meters.

International gas transit of the company increased by 7.5 billion cubic meters compared to 2016 and reached 65.8 billion cubic meters.

Production of natural gas by KazTransGas increased to 344 million cubic meters (327 million cubic meters in 2016).
