Arab investors are interested in buying ready-made facilities in Azerbaijan, Elshan Rahimov, chairman of the Association for Cooperation of Azerbaijan and Arab Countries, told Trend May 2.
“Several investors from Arab countries, mainly from Iraq, have recently arrived in Baku,” Rahimov said. “The aim of their visit is to get familiar with the business environment and the investment climate in Azerbaijan. They met with representatives of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and local business circles. Some of the investors are interested in importing Azerbaijani products, as well as purchasing ready-made facilities in the country, for example, idle factories.”
Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with the Arab countries amounted to about $74 million in the first quarter of 2018.
