Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has ordered to start forming the state budget for 2019, the Turkmen government said in a message.
Particular attention should be paid to increasing the funds directed at improving the social and living conditions of citizens, increasing salaries, developing education and healthcare spheres, the Turkmen president said at the government meeting.
Noting the need to bring the volume and structure of state revenues and expenditures in line with the capabilities and needs of the national economy, Berdimuhamedov signed the relevant order.
The revenue part of the state budget is formed, mainly, through oil and gas, chemical, power engineering and construction sectors.
Turkmenistan holds one of the key positions in the supply of natural gas in the region, which is exported to China and Iran.
