Turkey reveals number of registered Chinese companies

Some 62 companies with Chinese capital were registered in Turkey in September 2018, which is 22 companies more compared to the same period in 2017, Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend Oct. 24.

The total capital of Chinese companies registered in September this year was 50 million liras, while the figure was 5.4 million liras in September last year.

"In September, the number of companies registered in Turkey increased by 25.31 percent, and the number of registered cooperatives increased by 20 percent," TOBB stated.

The state agency noted that in September 2018, 6,328 companies and 66 cooperatives were registered in Turkey, while Istanbul accounted for 41.62 percent of all the registered companies and cooperatives.

TOBB also noted that in January-September 2018, some 65,638 companies and cooperatives were registered in Turkey.

TOBB noted that the number of closed companies decreased by 8.64 percent, and the number of closed cooperatives decreased by 10.65 percent in the first nine months of 2018.
