Number of Israeli companies registered in Turkey increases

In September 2018, 28 companies with Israeli capital were registered in Turkey, which is 9 companies more than in the same month of 2017, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend Oct. 24.

The total capital of Israeli companies registered in September amounted to 13.5 million Turkish liras, while in September 2017, the total capital of registered Israeli companies was 1.4 million liras, TOBB noted.

"In September, the number of companies registered in Turkey increased by 25.31 percent, and the number of registered cooperatives increased by 20 percent," TOBB stated.

The state agency noted that in September 2018, 6,328 companies and 66 cooperatives were registered in Turkey, while Istanbul accounted for 41.62 percent of all the registered companies and cooperatives.

TOBB also noted that in January-September 2018, some 65,638 companies and cooperatives were registered in Turkey.

TOBB noted that the number of closed companies decreased by 8.64 percent, and the number of closed cooperatives decreased by 10.65 percent in the first nine months of 2018.
