The region is home to Kazphosphate LLC, the largest chemical industry enterprise of the country. The main activities of the company are geological exploration, mining and processing of phosphate rock, production and sale of yellow phosphorus and its derivatives, and production of mineral-based finished industrial products.
It should be noted that the production of Kazphosphate in 2018 in money amounted to 112.3 billion tenge, and in 2019 it is planned to increase production to 137.3 billion tenge.
The company plans to increase the production of phosphate fertilizers to 1 million tons by 2020 in order to completely meet the needs of the domestic market and increase exports.
