Iran has assigned $1.5 billion from the National Development Fund to expand the sustainable employment in the country.

The Minister of Cooperative Labour and Social Welfare Mohammad Shariatmadari has announced the government plan during his visit to Aligudarz.

"It is expected in the next Iranian year (started March21,2019), development of sustainable employment would increase through inclusive policies for rural employment and home jobs," he added.

"Around $182 million should have been invested in the country in order to reach an 8-percent economic growth target according to the fifth development the Sixth Five-Year Development Plan(2016-2021), however it has not occurred in the current Iranian year (started March21,2018)," said Shariatmadari.
