Iran’s Kermanshah Province to harvest 830,000 tons of wheat

It is forecasted that 830,000 tons of wheat will be harvested this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019) in Iran’s western Kermanshah Province, Shahriyar Ghasemi, an official from the Department of Agriculture of Kermanshah Province, told ISNA, Trend reports.

According to him, wheat was planted in 375,000 hectares of land in Kermanshah Province this year.

Ghasemi added that dryland farming was applied for 290,000 hectares of land and irrigation agriculture for 85,000 hectares of land .

Noting that 413,000 hectares of wheat were planted last year, he said that there will be no decline in production.

Ghasemi added that some of the sowing areas have been allocated for barley and chickpeas.
