Iran’s Razavi Khorasan province exports 103,000 tons of apples

As many as 103,000 tons of apples were exported from Iran’s Razavi Khorasan province last Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018), said Farhad Farokhmanesh, head of the market regulation committee of Razavi Khorasan agriculture department, Trend reports with reference to IRNA.

He said that the cost of exports amounted to $52.5 million. He added that about 230,000 tons of apples were harvested in Razavi Khorasan province last year.

Gardens in Razavi Khorasan province hold 298,800 hectares of land. Some 5.3 percent, or 1.05 million tons of fruits and vegetables out of 19.4 million tons grown in Iran account for Razavi Khorasan province.
