Exports of Iran's Hormozgan province reach almost $3B

In the last Iranian year (March 21, 2018-March 20, 2019), exports of Iran's Hormozgan province reached $2.71 billion, an official with Hormozgan Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Khalil Gasimi said, Trend reports via IRNA.
He noted that in the last year the province's exports were expected to reach $3 billion in terms of value. However, this forecast was fulfilled by 90 percent.
Goods produced in Hormozgan were mainly exported to the Gulf countries, Europe and India, Gasimi said.
The province is expected to export goods for $3.58 billion in the current Iranian year, he added.
Gasimi further noted that the Iranian government supports the country's exporters and added that 76 percent of Hormozgan's exports fell to industrial and mining sectors of its economy.
The province has 22 fishing ports, 10 trade and industry ports, 13 multipurpose ports, three oil ports and one port for mining materials, he said.
Currently, 1,000 producing enterprises are operating in Hormozgan.
