Number of Russian companies in Turkey decreases

In January-June 2019, 52 companies with Russian capital were registered in Turkey, which is 11 less than those registered during the first half of the previous year, Trend reports referring to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.

According to the source, the total capital of Russian companies registered in Turkey in January-June 2019 amounted to 15,908,000 liras, while this figure made up 5,620,000 liras during the same period of 2018.

In the first half of 2019, the largest number of Russian companies were registered in Istanbul (29 companies), and their total capital made up 11,021,000 liras.

"During this period, 19 companies with Russian capital were registered in Antalya Province. The total capital of Russian companies in Antalya registered in January-June 2019 amounted to 3,728,000 liras," according to the union.

An additional four Russian companies were registered in other provinces.

In January-June 2019, two industrial, four construction, and 27 wholesale and retail companies with Russian capital were registered in Turkey. Meanwhile, 19 of the registered companies with Russian capital are involved in other sectors of the economy.

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey noted that the total capital of 27 wholesale and retail companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 8.935 million liras.
