Branch of Pakistan’s bank in Azerbaijan completes second quarter with losses

The Baku branch of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP Bank) completed the second quarter of 2019 with losses in the amount of 251,960 manats, Trend reports referring to the financial report of the bank.

The net profit amounted to 30,770 manats in the same period of 2018.

According to the report, interest income of the bank for the second quarter of 2019 amounted to 197,000 manats, non-interest losses – 10,580 manats. Non-interest expenses amounted to 427,510 manats.

The special reserve for covering potential losses of assets amounted to 10,890 manats. As a result, the loss amounted to 251,960 manats.

The Baku branch of NBP Bank has been operating in Azerbaijan since July 2005.

The National Bank of Pakistan was established in 1949. It was established with a 75 percent share of Pakistan’s government. Presently, NBP Bank has 39 foreign branches. In the South Caucasus, the bank has an office only in Baku.
