Chinese companies have expressed interest to invest in Iran indirectly, specially in mine and agriculture sectors, said the head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce Masoud Khansari.

He went on to add that the Chinese companies aren't able to invest in Iran directly due to sanctions, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.

"There have been agreements between China's private sector and Iran's Chamber of Commerce," he said.

Khansari added that it is expected that the Chambers of Commerce of the two countries would link their websties for better connection of the entrepreneurs.

He also emphasized the role of China's market for Iranian products and exports.

"There have been talks with China over a possible barter of goods, due to Iran being under sanctions," Khansari said.

Khansari also said that both countries have good opportunities to develop cooperation in the tourism sector.
