Output of Iran’s Chadormalu Mining & Industrial Company grows

During eight months (March 21- November 21) of this Iranian year (began March 21, 2019), steel ingot and sponge iron production of the Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company in Iran’s Yazd province has increased, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.

During the first eight months of this Iranian year, 1 million tons of sponge iron were produced at the company’s Mega Module Direct Steel Smelter Plant.

It is expected that by the end of this Iranian year (until March 21, 2020), 1.5 million tons of sponge iron will be produced at this plant.

“However, in normal conditions, maximum production is achieved after 3-4 years, but the company will achieve this production volume in the first year of the plant’s operation,” the report said.

During the first eight months of this Iranian year, the company produced 662,000 tons of steel ingots.

In the eight month of this Iranian year, 90,800 tons of steel ingots were produced at this plant.

The report noted that 2.33 million tons of iron pellets were produced at the company’s pellet plant during the first eight months of this Iranian year.

This is while 6.7 million tons of iron ore and concentrate were extracted from Chadormalu mine in the eight months.

Iran’s Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company is located 180 km north-east of Yazd province.
