Kazakhstan’s GDP growth amounted to 4.5 percent in 2019, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Askar Mamin said, Trend reports with reference to Press Service of the First President of Kazakhstan – Leader of Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Mamin made the statement during the meeting with the First President of Kazakhstan – Leader of Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev during which Mamin talked current social and economic situation in the country and measures taken to improve well-being of the people.
During the meeting, Nazarbayev highlighted importance of qualitative implementation of 100 concrete steps to implement the five institutional reforms.
In his turn, Mamin presented information on achievement of key indicators of economic development in 2019 and plans for further strengthening of the country’s economy.
He noted that currently the country’s economy is steadily developing.
“We have reached high economic indicators. In accordance to the indicators of 2019 country’s GDP growth amounted to 4.5 percent. Main drivers of economic growth were construction transport, trade and communications,” prime minister said.
Thus, Mamin said, construction growth was 12.9 percent, trade was 7.6 percent, communications were 5.2 percent, transport was 5.1 percent, processing industry was 3.7 percent.
Actual income of country’s residents increased by 5.5 percent, investments into country’s fixed capital increased by 8.5 percent, trade turnover was $97 billion.
