Some 970 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey from January through December 2019, which is 49 less compared to the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) on Jan. 27.
During this period, a total capital of Iranian companies registered in Turkey amounted to 138.1 million Turkish liras ($23.2 million). This indicator amounted to 151.7 million Turkish liras ($25.5 million) during 2018.
Most of Iranian companies (799 companies) were registered in Istanbul, with the total capital of 104.9 million Turkish liras ($17.6 million).
"Some 73 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey's Antalya province. The total capital of Iranian companies registered in this province amounted to 9.6 million liras ($1.6 million)," TOBB said.
In the meantime, six mining, 90 industrial, 37 construction, 423 wholesale and retail companies, 94 tourism and five insurance companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey.
The remaining 315 companies with Iranian capital are involved in other sectors of the economy.
The total capital of 423 wholesale and retail companies amounted to 68.7 million liras ($11.5 million).
