The number of purchase and sale of housing transactions implemented in Kazakhstan amounted to 21,666 transactions in January 2020, which is 9 percent more than during January 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
The largest number of purchase and sale of housing transactions was observed in country’s Almaty city. The number of transactions in Almaty amounted to 4,060 transactions, which is 41.3 percent more than in Jan. 2019. Almaty also leads by the number of purchase and sale of housing transactions increase.
Almaty is followed by Nur-Sultan city, with 2,757 purchase and sale of housing transactions, which is 23.6 percent less than during the same month of 2019. Nur-Sultan city also displayed the largest decrease in the number of purchase and sale of housing transaction.
Karaganda region is third by the number of purchase and sale of housing transactions, which stood at 2,134 transactions in Jan. 2020, showing a 17.4-percent increase compared to Jan. 2019.
The least number of purchase and sale of housing transactions during Jan. 2020 was observed in Kyzylorda region (433 transactions, increase by 22.7 percent),
The cost of one square meter of new housing in Kazakhstan increased by 6.7 percent in Jan. 2020, of comfortable housing by 6.7 percent, of non-comfortable housing by 5.7 percent, rent of one square meter of comfortable housing by 6.5 percent.
