Turkmenistan imports new batch of agricultural machinery

A new batch of agricultural machinery from John Deere has arrived in Turkmenistan,Trend reports citing the "Zolotoy Vek" (Golden Age) newspaper.

The new equipment arrived on the eve of the start of cotton sowing season in Turkmenistan.

All agricultural machinery that arrives in Turkmenistan pass preliminary testing. John Deere tractors were successfully tested in the cotton fields of the Akhal region.

Turkmenistan will alsoi receive 155 tractors and 98 seeders of this brand in March-April of this year.

In August 2019, an agreement between the Ministry of agriculture and environmental protection of Turkmenistan and the company John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Co. KG was signed for introduction of a digital electronic control system in agricultural machinery and equipment in the agricultural sector for the period 2020-2030.

According to the document, the equipment purchased in 2013-2019 will be equipped with telematics that allows to track cars, their location, fuel consumption, actual operating time, loading and many other parameters, directly from the office, as well online, or through a mobile phone.

For this purpose, a special management center has been created in the administrative building of the Ministry of agriculture and environmental protection.

In 2016, an agreement was signed with CLAAS on the phased delivery of grain harvesters, tractors for plowing and processing to Turkmenistan in the period 2017-2020.

Agricultural machinery and equipment of John Deere can also be obtained by representatives of private businesses, by taking a bank loan.
