Azerbaijan's Ganja Instrument-Making Plant talks introduction of new product

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29

By Matanat Nasibova - Trend:

Azerbaijan's Ganja Instrument-Making Plant has reconsidered the terms for introducing a new model of industrial products this year, a source at the plant told Trend.

“The issue is the expansion of the range of LED lamps by using silicone lenses,” the source said.

“LED lamps which are manufactured at our plant are in great demand in the domestic market, and are also intended for export abroad,” the source said. “We expect that the new product will also be in demand in the domestic market, as well as will be supplied outside the country.”

“We have fully completed the development of this type of product and previously planned to introduce it into production in April 2020,” the source said. “But due to the temporary shutdown of the plant due to the quarantine regime amid the coronavirus pandemic, the process of introducing into the production of a new model of LED lamps may be launched only when the plant will fully work."

"This is the latest model in the field of industrial production and will be used in Azerbaijan for the first time,” the source said. “According to our estimations, the primary volumes will reach up to 1,000 pieces. During the next stages, these volumes will gradually increase as far as demand and supply in the market increase.”

Ganja Instrument-Making Plant is one of the biggest Azerbaijani enterprises in the field of instrument making, engaged in the development and production of measuring instruments, automatic and automated control systems.

The plant’s activity is aimed at developing and raising the level of instrument making in Azerbaijan and creating modern, high-quality water meters, gas pressure regulators and other measuring instruments that are in demand in the market within the country and abroad.

The plant is located on the territory covering more than five hectares. The production area is 6,000 square meters.

Some 170 people work at the plant.
