Kazakhstan's import of US-made goods drops

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the US amounted to $457.3 million 1Q2020 compared to $432.2 million during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The share of the US in total value of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover was 2.2 percent during the reporting period of 2020 compared to 2.1 percent during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to the US amounted to $195.7 million over the period from January through March 2020 compared to $105.2 million during the same period of 2019.

The US’s share in total volume of Kazakhstan’s export amounted to 1.4 percent during the reporting period of 2020, compared to 0.8 percent during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s import from the US amounted to $261.6 million over 1Q2020 compared to $326.9 million during the same period of 2019.

The US’s total share in Kazakhstan’s import was 3.7 percent during the reporting period of 2020 compared to 4.6 percent during the same period of 2019.

Total volume of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover amounted to $21 billion in 1Q2020 which indicates an increase from $20.4 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export amounted to $13.9 billion during the reporting period of 2020 ($13.3 billion in the same period of 2019), whereas import amounted to $7.09 billion ($7.1 billion).
