The production of the Anguran mine in the Zanjan Province (northwestern Iran) increased by 15 percent in the third month of the current Iranian year (May 21-June 20, 2020) compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, about 85,100 tons of mining materials were extracted in the third month. However, this figure was 73,900 tons in the same month last Iranian year.
“In the third month, the volume of mining materials sent from the Anguran mine to local companies amounted to 82,500 tons. This is an increase of 64 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year (50,200 tons), the report said.
About 195,800 tons of mining materials were extracted from the Anguran mine during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020). This is an increase of 1 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year (193,300 tons), according to the report.
“Within three months, the volume of Anguran mine increased by 103 percent to 238,800 tons. This figure was 117,600 tons in the same period last Iranian year,” the report said.
Lead and zinc items are extracted from the Anguran mine.
