The polymer plant in Turkmenistan's Dashoguz city manufactured products worth more than 3.2 million Turkmen manat (over $924,000) in 6 months of 2020, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.
Most of the plant's products are pipes of 23 types with a diameter of 16 to 315 mm, additional parts for conductors, polymer products that are widely used in the household.
Thus, the plant produced 285.50 tons of polypropylene and polyethylene pipes for 6 months.
In addition, the company has increased the volume of manufacture of elastic products used for food.
As it was reported earlier, Turkmenistan has become one of the largest suppliers of polymer products to Russia.
Plastic products are the most exported goods of Turkmenistan. The total cost of polymers delivered to the Russian Federation was $47.6 million in 2019.
In addition to the plant, polymer products are also manufactured by other companies. Thus, the local company 'Turkmen sohle' supplies plastic products to Afghanistan, Belarus, Uzbekistan and other countries.
