Turkmenistan's import of Turkish electrical goods up despite COVID-19 pandemic

Electrical goods export from Turkey to Turkmenistan in the first six months of 2020 edged up by 11.6 percent compared to the same period of 2019, having made up slightly over $35.8 million, Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.

In June 2020, Turkey exported electrical goods worth $5.5 million to Turkmenistan, which is 33.5 percent more than in June last year.

Export of electrical goods from Turkey declined by 12.3 percent from January through June 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, having amounted to slightly over $4.7 billion.

According to the ministry, Turkey’s export of electrical goods to foreign markets made up 6.3 percent of the country’s total export for the first half of this year.

"Turkey’s export of electrical goods to world markets amounted to $902.7 million in June 2020, which is 26.2 percent more compared to June 2019," the ministry said.

In June this year, Turkey’s export of electrical goods to world markets amounted to 6.7 percent of the country’s total export.

During the last twelve months (from June 2019 through June 2020), Turkey exported electrical goods worth over $10.5 billion.
