Non-ferrous metals output plummets in Kazakhstan

Manufacturing volume of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan has amounted to 487,047 kg over 1H2020, which is 3.3 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 93,492 kg in June 2020, which is 31.4 percent more than in June 2019.

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold increased by 8.8 percent during the reporting months having amounted to 53,510 kg (9,388 kg in June 2020, increase by 4.8 percent compared to June 2019).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 817,790 tons during the reporting period, which indicates an decrease by 0.9 percent compared to the same period of last year. The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 138,991 tons in June 2020, which is 5.4 percent less than in June 2019.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 68,253 tons over the reporting period, which is 0.6 percent more than during the same period of 2019. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in June 2020 was 14,414 tons, which is 22.8 percent more than in June 2019.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 161,731 tons, which is 1.3 percent less than during the same period of 2019 (29,983 tons in June 2020, increase by 9.5 percent compared to June 2019).

As reported, manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 248,854 tons, which is 9.7 percent more than during the same period of 2019 (39,932 tons in June 2020, increase by 2.7 percent compared to June 2019).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 26,062 tons, which is 1.8 percent more than during the same period of 2019 (3,321 tons in June 2020, decrease by 31.6 percent compared to June 2019).
