Large enterprises to be put into operation in Iran's Hormozgan Province

Four large enterprises will be put into operation in the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) by end of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 to March 21, 2020), chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Hormozgan Province, Khalil Ghasemi said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

According to the Ghasemi, a total of 35.8 trillion rials (about $852 million) has been invested to the construction of these enterprises and with the commissioning of these enterprises 1,270 people will be employed.

Ghasemi added that at present, the progress in the construction of these enterprises is between 65-100 percent.

“About 23 trillion rials (about $547 million) has been invested in a plant of Maad Koush Pellet Company. The plant can produce 2.5 million tons of iron pellets a year, and 360 people will be employed with the commissioning of this plant,” he said.

The chairman stressed that 11.1 trillion rials (about $265 million) has been invested in the Kaveh Steel Company’s plant. With the commissioning of the plant, 1.2 million tons of steel ingots will be produced annually and 805 people will be employed.

Ghasemi noted that 1.13 trillion rials (about $26.9 million) has been invested in a plant of the Iranian Padideh Kavosh Company, which will produce 600,000 tons of iron concentrate a year. More than 40 people will be employed with the commissioning of the plant.

“Over 360 billion rials (about $8.5 million) has been invested to a plant of Gach Matin Company. This plant will produce 300,000 tons of gypsum per year, and 60 people will be employed at the enterprise,” he said.
