Iran exported 8.25 million tons of goods worth $2.69 billion in the sixth month of the current Iranian year (August 22-September 21, 2020), Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.
According to Latifi, Iran's exports in the 6th month increased by 6 percent in terms of volume and 24.5 percent in terms of value compared to the 5th month (July 22-August 21,2020).
Latifi added that Iran exported 2.27 million tons of goods worth $669 million to China and 1.41 million tons worth $565 million to Iraq in the sixth month.
“During the reporting month, Iran exported 1.21 million tons of goods worth $379 million to United Arab Emirates, 704,000 tons worth $232 million to Afghanistan and 380,000 tons worth $218 million to Turkey,” he noted.
The spokesman emphasized that these five countries account for 72 percent of Iran’s total exports for sixth month, in terms of volume and 76 percent in terms of value.
The customs official said that Iran's foreign trade amounted to 11 million tons worth about $5.68 billion in the 6th month.
Iran exported 46.3 million tons of non-oil products worth $13.5 billion during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020).
