Sales on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan of polyethylene produced at the polymer plant in the Kiyanly settlement of Turkmenistan have increased, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal information portal.
More than 128,000 tons of the mentioned polyethylene were sold on the exchange of Turkmenistan from January through August of this year, which is 93,000 tons more than in the same period last year.
Thus, the demand for the export of Turkmen polymer increased by 3.7 times. In particular, the products are exported to China, Turkey, Russia, and other countries.
Large quantities of high-density polyethylene were purchased by entrepreneurs in September and October, including for deliveries to Turkey, China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, and other countries.
Polymer plant in Turkmenistan's Kiyanly was commissioned in October 2018.
Last year, Turkmenistan became one of the largest suppliers of polymer products in Russia.
Russian entrepreneurs mainly purchase high-density polyethylene through the exchange of Turkmenistan, intended for the manufacture of pipes used for water and gas transportation, as well as for injection molding of household, household, and technical items.
