Household and food products totaling 90.8 million Turkmen manat ($25.9 million), which exceeds last year's similar figure by 36.2 million manat ($10.3 million) were manufactured at Turkmenistan’s Lebap region from January through September of this year, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.
The region provides for the construction of 32 enterprises, of which 19 will be focused on the processing of agricultural products, and 13 – the production of industrial goods. So, 10 enterprises have already been put into operation.
The construction of enterprises is implemented in accordance with the state program for the production of import-substituting products in Turkmenistan.
In addition, over 113 hectares of land have been allocated for the construction of greenhouses in the region. Fruit and vegetable crops are already grown in 21 greenhouses.
Also, this year in the Halach district of the Lebap region, it is expected to open a plant for the production of ceramic decorative bricks with an annual capacity of 192 thousand tons of products.
