The company for the production of sterile dressings in Turkmenistan’s Dashoguz region has manufactured products worth more than 7.5 million manat ($2.1 million) since the beginning of the year, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal information portal.
The company produces about 50 medical products: gauze, elastic bandages of various sizes, band-aids, knee pads and others.
In general, the Dashoguz enterprise is able to produce up to 13 million packages of various types of dressings per year.
The company has installed equipment from well-known companies from Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, France and other countries, which allows to expand product range and increase manufacturing volumes.
Earlier, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has handed over new medical equipment to the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan
Thus, the equipment was purchased in the framework of cooperation between UNFPA and the ministry with funding from the government of Turkmenistan.
