Details of products sold at Iran Mercantile Exchange revealed

A total of 1.92 million tons of goods worth 200 trillion rials (about $4.76 billion) were sold at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) during the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 22 through November 20, 2020), Trend reports citing IME’s official portal.

According to the statistics, 1.21 million tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 111 trillion rials (about $2.63 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of the IME in the 8th month.

“About 293,000 tons of bitumen, 211,000 tons of various polymeric substances, 125,000 tons of chemicals, 4,200 tons of slaps wax, and 426,000 tons of vacuum bottom products were sold in this section,” the statistics said.

In addition, 6,300 tons of glass facades, 7,190 tons of base oil, 21,900 tons of sulfur, 600 tons of argon, and 117,000 tons of lube cut were also sold in the section, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 703,000 tons of products worth 89.3 trillion rials (about $2.13 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of the IME during the reporting period.

“Moreover, 694,000 tons of steel products, 5,140 tons of copper products, 9 tons of precious metal concentrate, 480 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 3,410 tons of aluminum, 860 tons of zinc ingots, and 16 kilograms of gold bars were sold in this section,” the statistics said.

At the same time, 1,730 tons of various products were sold in the sub-market section of the exchange, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 3,100 kg of saffron were sold in the agricultural products section of the Iran Mercantile Exchange.
