A total of 505,000 tons of goods worth more than 47 trillion rials (about $1.12 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (November 21 through November 26), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.
However, 456,000 tons of goods worth more than 51 trillion rials (about $1.21 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding Iranian week (November 14 through November 19).
According to the report, 65,600 tons of goods worth about 11.2 trillion rials (about $266 million) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME.
“So, 61,900 tons of steel, 400 tons of aluminum, 3,100 tons of copper, 120 tons of molybdenum sulfur and 5 kilograms of gold bars were sold in this section,” the report said.
In addition, 438,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 36.2 trillion rials (about $863 million) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME in the last Iranian week, the report said.
According to the report, 214,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 111,000 tons of bitumen, 51,600 tons of polymeric substances, 24,300 tons of chemicals, 30,000 tons of lube cut, 1,350 tons of glass facades, 2,440 tons base oil, 150 tons of argon, and 2,700 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.
Furthermore, 1,230 tons of various products were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
