Turkish company supports timber processing launch in North Kazakhstan

Timber processing plant was launched in North Kazakhstan region with the support of the Turkey’s Northern Plywood Plant LLP, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s KAZAKH INVEST National Company.

The plant was launched on basis of the former workshop of the Petropavlovsk pipe plant. The experts say that about 18,000 cubic meters of laminated plywood will be produced annually at the new plant with an area of ​​10,000 square meters. The project the total cost of which is 2.2 billion tenge ($52.3 million) will provide jobs for more than 150 people.

The plant will be producing laminate using raw materials delivered from Germany, and will use equipment purchased from Turkey, Germany and Russia. Therefore, the plant will also use advanced technologies for steaming, gluing and pressing.

The plant will use modern processing technologies, the whole process will be automated. Plant also has warehouses set up on its territory.

Laminated plywood is widely used in monolithic construction and for the manufacture of formwork. Such products are in great demand in the Kazakhstan’s market. This is the first project of this kind in the North Kazakhstan region.
