Turkmen carpet weaving enterprise in Halach district of Turkmenistan’s Lebap region manufactured 9,299 square meters of products in 2020, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.
The enterprise mastered the production of round-shaped carpets last year. In particular, the company is currently fulfilling the second such order of Turkmenistan's Turkmenhaly state association.
In order to expand production, a branch of the factory is being built in the village of Guych Birleshik village, with the opening of which an additional 100 jobs will be created.
Also, recently, a new workshop with all the necessary infrastructure facilities was put into operation on the territory of the enterprise.
Turkmen’s carpet is approved as one of the national symbols and declared a state property of the country.
Turkmenhaly state association is the main supplier of renowned Turkmen handmade pure-wool fleecy carpets from Turkmenistan to the world market.
The main activities of the association are production and sales of Turkmen carpets and carpet products, conservation of hand carpet making tradition, and regeneration of old carpet ornaments and products.
