Turkmenistan increased the import of apples, pears, and quinces by 3.6 times from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) from January through November 2020, Trend reports, citing statistics from the Eurasian Economic Commission.
Apples, pears, and quinces were exported from the EAEU countries to Turkmenistan in the amount of more than 280 tons for a total amount of $89,710 in the reporting period.
The exporters of the above-mentioned fruits to Turkmenistan were Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. The share of Kazakhstan in the number of exports was $15,430, Kyrgyzstan-$21,530, and Russia-$52,749.
Also, frozen fruits were exported from Russia to Turkmenistan in the amount of 14.65 tons, for a total amount of $14,156.
During the reporting period, Russia exported more than three tons of grapes to Turkmenistan for a total of $2,385.
Almost 227 tons of citrus fruits were also exported from Russia to Turkmenistan, for a total amount of $101,237 from January through November 2020.
From January through October 2020, Turkmenistan increased the import of apples, pears, and quinces by 2.8 times from the countries of the EAEU.
According to the information, in general, apples, pears, and quinces were exported from the EAEU countries to Turkmenistan in the amount of more than 218 tons for a total amount of $68,166.
