The authorized capital of Azerbaijani mining company, AzerGold CJSC, increased by 50 million manat in 2020 and reached 62 million manat ($36.4 million), Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC Zakir Ibrahimov, said, Trend reports.

Ibrahimov made the remark during an event on the results of 2020 and the upcoming tasks.

According to the chairman, 15 million manat ($8.82 million) was formed from the retained earnings of the company at the end of 2019.

“In 2020, 12.9 million manat ($7.58 million) were paid to the state budget. Of this amount, 10.7 million manat ($6.29 million) were taxed, and more than 2.2 million manat ($1.29 million) were payments to the State Social Protection Fund. In 2019, this amount was 12.2 million manat ($7.17 million). This means that the indicator for 2020 is 0.7 million manat (over $411,000), or 6 percent more than in 2019,” Ibrahimov said.

In general, over the period of the company's activity, 40.8 million manat ($24 million) of taxes and social contributions were transferred to the state budget, he said.

“According to the financial statements, which received a positive conclusion following audits carried out by an independent audit company in line with international financial reporting standards, the company’s net profit for 2019 increased by 55 percent compared to 2018 and amounted to $12.4 million,” he noted.

In 2020, AzerGold CJSC, despite the difficulties aroused by the coronavirus pandemic, completely fulfilled the activity plan for 2020.
