The Georgian-Czech Chamber of Commerce is planning a series of events to attract Czech investments in 2021, Trend reports via the Georgian Foreign Ministry.

The first large-scale event - a business forum - is scheduled for May this year. It will take place in Prague.

According to the ministry, with the support of the Georgian Embassy in the Czech Republic, on February 10, 2021, the Georgian-Czech Chamber of Commerce was created, headed by Czech businessman Daniel Makhovski and Vice President Vazha Kiknavelidze. On the Georgian side, the Chamber's partner organization is the Business Council of Georgia.

As reported, the goal of the Georgian-Czech Chamber of Commerce is to promote and develop cooperation between Georgian and Czech companies. In addition, the interaction in the academic field between the two countries and the exchange of information on business opportunities.

“The Czech Republic is one of the largest investors in Georgia. The main share of Czech investments is in the energy sector of Georgia. Several major tourism projects have been launched in recent years. The dynamics of tourism from the Czech Republic to Georgia is also growing,” the ministry explained.
