Kazakhstan has exported a total of 2,600 tons of meat worth $9.4 million over the period from January through April 2021, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov said, Trend reports citing Kazakh media.
“Kazakhstan’s cattle meat export equaled 2,700 tons worth $9 million in 2020. In turn, the volume of exports over the first four months of 2020 amounted to 2,600 tons of meat for $9.4 million. The value of imports for 4 months of last year amounted to $35 million, whereas for this year - $21 million, that is, the value decreased by 41 percent. This indicates that the volume of exports is growing, while the volume of imports is decreasing,” the minister said.
The total volume of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover amounted to $85.03 billion over the period from January through Dec. 2020 which indicates a decrease from $97.7 billion during the same period of 2019.
Kazakhstan’s export amounted to $46.9 billion during the reporting period of 2020 ($58.06 billion in the same period of 2019), whereas imports amounted to $38.08 billion ($39.7 billion in 2019).
