Exports of Iran via customs of Isfahan Province booming

Iran’s exports through the customs of the Isfahan Province (central Iran) increased by 88 percent in terms of value and 41 percent in terms of volume during the first four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office, Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

Kuhestani noted that 741,000 tons of goods worth about $431 million were exported through the customs of Isfahan Province within the mentioned period.

The director general added that 417 types of goods were exported through province’s customs. Mainly iron, steel and cast iron worth $244 million, petrochemicals worth $71 million, carpets worth $29 million and chemicals worth $14 million were exported.

"These goods were mainly exported to Iraq (worth $182 million), Afghanistan (worth $63 million), Pakistan (worth $61 million), Turkey (worth $16 million) and other countries," he said.
