Uzbekistan Railways JSC invited for discussion domestic and foreign investors wishing to take part in the creation of new companies of private freight cars, Trend reports citing the press service of the company.
According to the JSC, the benefits provided to entrepreneurs when importing railway cars from Uzbekistan will be extended until January 1, 2025. The company is also ready to assist in considering the issue of providing additional preferences.
Earlier, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a dialogue with entrepreneurs, said that the railway industry would need more than 7,000 freight cars in the next 5 years.
According to Mirziyoyev, this need can only be satisfied with the involvement of business, so next year the activities of private logistics operators will be launched.
