Iran launches industrial enterprises in Yazd Province

Iran issued licenses for the launch of 33 industrial enterprises in the Yazd Province (central Iran) in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 23 through August 22, 2021), said the Chairman of the Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of the Yazd Province, Mohammad Reza Alamdar Yazdi, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

The chairman stressed that a total of 10.8 trillion rials (about $259 million) has been spent on these enterprises and as a result, 460 people have been employed.

"In addition, Iran issued licenses for the setting up 173 enterprises in the Yazd Province in the 5th month. In total, 86.5 trillion rials (about $2.06 billion) is to be spent on these enterprises. About 5,880 people are estimated to be employed in these enterprises," he added.

Yazdi also noted that 2,360 people were provided with jobs with the launch of 158 enterprises in the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through August 22, 2021).

There are 3,070 industrial enterprises operating in Iran's Yazd Province. A total of 197 trillion rials (about $4.7 billion) has been spent on these enterprises and 100,000 people have been employed.

Of these enterprises, 789 are operating in the chemical and cellulose industry, 844 in the mining industry, 491 in the textile and clothing industry, 602 in the metal and electrical industry, 308 in food and medicine, and 35 in energy generation.
