Iran shares data on buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange

A total of 1.55 million tons of goods worth more than 103 trillion rials (about $2.44 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (September 18 through September 23, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is an increase of 0.7 percent in terms of value, while a decrease of 16 percent in terms of volume compared to the preceding Iranian week (September 11 through September 16, 2021).

So, 1.87 million tons of goods worth more than 95.2 trillion rials (about $2.26 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.

According to the report, about 1.14 million tons of goods worth about 48.6 trillion rials (about $1.16 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.

"About 235,000 tons of steel, 1,000 tons of copper, 5,360 tons of aluminum, 150 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 15 tons of precious metal concentrate, 120 tons of zinc, 910,000 tons of cement, 200 tons of coke, 40 kg gold bars, and 1,500 tons of sponge iron were sold in this section," the report said.

In addition, more than 399,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 51.9 trillion rials (about $1.23 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.

According to the report, 133,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 131,000 tons of bitumen, 81,900 tons of polymeric substances, 34,500 tons of chemicals, 1,000 tons of lube cut, 3,590 tons of base oil, 2,500 tons of slaps wax, 440 tons of facades and 9,000 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.

Furthermore, 11,000 tons of various products worth 2.07 trillion rials (about $49.4 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
