Uzbekistan to implement projects in geology, energy, industry fields in 2022

Uzbekistan plans to allocate $7.51 billion for implementation of projects in the field of geology, energy and industry in 2022, Trend reports with reference to the regulatory legal acts portal of Uzbekistan.

According to the draft presidential decree on the investment program of Uzbekistan for 2022-2024, published by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, Uzbekistan plans to implement investment projects worth about $52.15 billion in 2022-2024.

According to the document, in 2022 Uzbekistan plans to implement projects worth $16.57 billion, of which $6 billion will be foreign direct investment.

At the same time, projects worth $7.51 billion will be implemented in the field of geology, energy and industry.

Moreover, Uzbekistan plans to implement projects worth $17.34 billion in 2023; out of which $7.06 billion will be foreign direct investment.

As in 2022, most of the funds ($9.24 billion) will go to geology, energy and industry.

In 2024, it is planned to implement projects worth $18.2 billion. Furthermore, it is expected that foreign direct investment worth $7.73 billion will be mastered.
