Exports from Iran’s Markazi Province up

The exports of Iran from the Markazi Province (central Iran) increased by 35 percent in terms of value and 70 percent in terms of volume during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Deputy Governor of Markazi Province Saeed Farrokhi told journalists, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

Farrokhi noted that in total, 777,000 tons of non-oil products worth $600 million were exported from the Markazi Province in 6 months.

“These products were exported to 86 countries, including Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, the UAE, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Bulgaria,” he added.

According to the deputy governor, the exported products were mainly various hydrocarbons, fittings, glass materials, light and heavy polyethylene, aluminum ingots, steel products, foodstuffs, ceramics, etc.

“Meanwhile in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), $126 million worth of non-oil products were exported from the Markazi Province,” he said.

The deputy also emphasized that $120 million worth of goods were imported to the Markazi Province in 6 months, which is an increase of 46 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

The deputy said that the imported goods were mainly raw materials and equipment for manufacturing sector. These goods were imported from 42 countries, including China, Turkey, the UAE, Ecuador, the Czech Republic, India and Germany.
