Kazakhstan’s agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output amounted to 5.52 trillion tenge ($12.99 billion) over the period from January through September 2021, which is 1.4 percent more compared to the same month of the last year, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Some 5.5 trillion tenge ($12.94 billion) accounted for agriculture alone, including 3.2 trillion ($7.6 billion) accounting for plant growing, and 2.4 trillion tenge ($5.8 billion) - for animal husbandry.
The increase in the agriculture, forestry and fishery gross output during the reporting period was due to the increase of slaughter volumes of livestock and poultry in live weight by 6 percent, and the yield of raw cow's milk by 3.3 percent.
North Kazakhstan region leads by the total value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output, which reached 833.9 billion tenge ($1.9 billion) from January through September 2021, showing a 0.1-percent increase compared to the same months of 2020.
This includes 664.1 billion tenge ($1.5 billion) worth of plant growing output and 167.3 billion tenge ($393.6 million) of animal husbandry output.
Second and third places accounted for Almaty and Turkestan regions.
Agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output in the Almaty region amounted to 755.2 billion tenge ($1.7 billion), which is 1.5 percent more than during the same period of 2020.
This includes 415.4 billion tenge ($977.6 million) worth of plant growing output and 335.7 billion tenge ($790.03 million) of animal husbandry output.
The value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output in the Turkestan region amounted to 635.1 billion tenge ($1.4 billion), which is 0.1 percent more than during the same period of last year.
This includes 369.5 billion tenge ($869.4 million) worth of plant growing output and 260.1 billion tenge ($612.1 million) of animal husbandry output.
An increase in agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output was observed in 10 Kazakh regions during the reporting period.
